South West : Voting Unfolds In Earnest

The voting exercise took place without any major incident throughout the town.

Electors in Buea, chief town of South West Region yesterday, October 12, 2025, joined their peers in the entire in Cameroon to make their choice at the polling stations for the President of the Republic. Beginning 8 am, polling stations were opened for voters. Through Bakweri Town, GS Great Soppo, Public Works School, Buea Council and to South West Court of Appeal etc heaps of ballot papers of all the candidates were available with voting unperturbed. South West Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilai, who voted at the South West Court of Appeal polling station said Cameroonians must assume their civic responsibility. By casting their votes, he said it is their contributions in deciding who the Head of State becomes. He saluted the turnout of voters and said it is an indication that Cameroonians are good citizens.
