Electoral Operations : No Major Ambiguity

Electoral operations for the election of a President of the Republic is said to occurred without any major incident both across the national territory and in diplomatic representations abroad. A press briefing by the Director General of Elections, Dr. Erik Essousse at the close of polls on October 12, 2025 indicate that the election took place within acceptable conditions and eight million ten thousand 464 electors were expected in 31, 653 polling stations, including 108 abroad. The Director General of Elections noted that the standard fundamentals of the electoral operations were respected as polling stations were opened at 8am and closed at 6pm. All election materials and documents, he added, were made available in every polling station and on time as electors are said to have made their choices in total freedom, calm, order and discipline across the national territory and abroad. No major problem is said to have been recorded throughout the exercise, as it is said to have taken place generally under a spirit of calm and responsibility.  
The Director General of Elections in the press briefing recalled that only the Constitutional Council has the prerogative to publish results of the Presidential election, and this is done within a period of 15 days from the close of polls which is in accordance with Section 137 of the Electoral Code.
