2026 FIFA World Cup: CT Begins Countdown

The 2026 World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Cameroon may not have qualified, but this edition remains historic. It is the first to feature 48 teams, including a whopping 10 from the African continent. Moved by this unprecedented African representation, Cameroon Tribune will, from this Tuesday, June 2, 2026, offer its readers with special pages dedicated to the tournament, both in the build-up and throughout the event. Before the competition, the newspaper proposes a page on a daily basis to run from June 2–10, 2026. In this page, named “Ruée vers l’Amérique,” readers will have the opportunity to discover the African teams taking part in the competition as well as receive the latest news on preparations ahead of kick-off.
