Back-To-School: Traders Brace Up

T raders are busy and opti­ mistic as they stock up their shops with school essen­ tials such as uniforms, bags, books and shoes, most hanging on the walls of their shops while they wait on clients to start their an­ nual school purchase. The back- to-school buzz is heavy in the air as sellers have books displayed inside and outside their shops on well decorated shelves, visible enough to attract clients. For those who have no shops, they have adopted the initiative of moving around with their items in wheel barrows. Traders like Daniel Mbena are ex­ pecting better sales this year as compared to last year. Hence, he has taken some dispositions to­ wards a successful business sea­ son by renovating his shop, in­ creasing the amount of goods purchased and also employing the services of porters who thus move around the market with his items.
