In its 10th edition, the Cameroon Business Forum chaired by Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute has as innovation the introduction of workshops on different themes.
The Cameroon Business Forum (CBF) that took place in Sawa Hotel Douala this March 18, 2019, has given room for both the private and public sectors to work hand in glove for the development of the business climate in Cameroon. In effect the different stakeholders evaluated the business climate in the country and the effect of the CBF 10 years after.
Mounting the rostrum, Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute revealed that for the past 10 years close to 200 recommendations have been adopted while about 150 have been implemented to ameliorate the business climate in Cameroon. Under the high instructions of the Head of State, President Paul Biya, he went on, the CBF was put in place to make the business environment comfortable to all. He said it was a veritable platform for dialogue between the private and the public sectors. This was evident as the theme for this year was chosen by the private sector.
He said the economy of Cameroon is to ameliorate the living conditions of Cameroonians. He called all the sta keholders present to put in their best ideas so as to upgrade the business climate in Cameroon. It is not all roses as the President of GICAM Célestin Tawamba decried the difficulties faced by businesses in Cameroon as a result of the ongoing problems rocking the North West and the South West regions. He pleaded with the government to seek for lasting solutions so as to improve on the economy of the country.
To him the present edition of the CBF is holding at a very difficult moment for both the State and the private sector as internal debts are on a steady increase. Mr Tawamba said they can be no emergence without the develop...
