Facilitating Trade, Transport : Bolloré Partners GUCE

Both parties have reached an agreement to collaborate in simplifying transit and customs clearance procedures.

Bolloré Transport & Logistics has partnered with Cameroon’s Single Window for Foreign Trade Operations (GUCE) to ease international trade and transport. A Memorandum of Understanding to cement the collaboration has been signed by the Director General of GUCE, Isidore Biyiha and the Regional Director for the Gulf of Guinea at Bolloré, Mohamed Abdoulaye Diop. Both parties penned the MoU in Yaounde on Tuesday September 17, 2019, on the sidelines of the seventh International Single Window Conference and Exhibition.

The partnership seeks to create a collaboration platform which will work towards simplifying transit operations in Cameroon. It also aims at easing customs clearance procedures by dematerializing the import and export process. To ensure smooth functioning, the MoU specifies that a six-man follow-up committee will be put in place which shall meet at least once each quarter.
