Samuel Eto’o Fils: Exceptional Footballer Now Manager

It is perhaps thanks to his prowess on the pitch that the 40-year-old former Indomitable Lions captain was voted President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

Samuel Eto’o Fils, one of the finest footballers, Cameroon and Africa have ever produced is now manning the affairs of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) as President after the December 11, 2021 poles in Yaounde. With about 22 years professional career, the 40-year-old striker, who retired from football in 2019 is determined to continue serving his nation this time off the pitch.

Born on the 10th March 1981, the prolific striker from the Littoral region joined the Indomitable Lions in a friendly match against Costa Rica in 1997. Since then, he proved to be one of the strongest pillars of the team, imposed himself and became one of the Lions highest marks man scoring several goals in very decisive matches. The striker and former Captain of the Indomitable Lions scored 56 goals in 118 appearances for the national team.
