Athletics : Douala To Host Two Major Events

Over eight countries from Africa will take part in the first edition of the African Francophone Clubs Champions Athletics Championship that will take place in Douala this month.

In less than two weeks attention will be geared towards the city of Douala in the Littoral Region. Two major international events will equally take place at the Reunification Stadium in Douala this month. The events are the first edition of the African Francophone Clubs Champions Athletics Championship which will take place from March 22 to 25, 2022. This will be followed by the Grand Prix CAA of the city of Douala, Cameroon which will take place on December 27, 2022. The competition will bring together the best clubs on the continent. 
For the first African Francophone Clubs Champions Athletics Championship, eight countries have already registered for the competition. They are Djibouti, Gabon, Chad, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Togo and Cameroon. Cote d’Ivoire and Mali are yet to confirm their participation. For the Grand Prix CAA, the countries that have confirmed their participation are Kenya, Ethiopia, Botswana, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi, Rwanda, Gambia and Zambia.
