Elite One : Happy Beginning For Canon

Canon Sportif of Yaounde has begun the new season on a positive note. The Yaounde-based club thrashed Colombe of Dja and Lobo 4-0 during a day one match at the Yaounde Military Stadium yesterday March 20, 2022. It was a rather thrilling encounter that kept fans on their feet cheering the players. Prior to the encounter thousands of supporters thronged the stadium to watch the game. After long months of break fans were eager to go to the stadium to watch their teams again. Even after takeoff many fans were still at the gate waiting to get into the stadium. The game began as planned with both teams determined to grab the three points of the day given the challenges ahead.
Canon Yaounde began by dominating the game with a good play style putting pressure on Colombe. That however paid off as they opened scores at the 13th minute through Nkuoe Stephane. Colombe equally fought back with a good attack but they squandered their scoring chances. Conon continued with their play style and at the 40th minute Ngon Atiati netted in the second goal. Both separated at half time on a 2-0 score margin. On resumption Canon continued with their onslaught, putting more pressure on Colombe.
