Obituary : CRTV’s Enanga Kebbi Is Dead

The ace journalist died in Tunisia on September 13, 2022 after an illness.
Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV, has lost its special reporter to the First Lady, Julianna Enanga Kebbi. Enanga Kebbi 62, died on the night breaking Tuesday September 13, 2022 in a hospital in Tunisia, where she was evacuated for urgent medical attention. Yesterday morning at her residence in the Efoulan neighbourhood in Yaounde, grief characterised the atmosphere as mourners and well-wishers joined family members to share in the loss of a loved one. Nobody could contain his/her feelings as tears flowed freely. “Oh Enanga is gone! Mami Nyanga is gone! Let her rest from all pains,” mourners echoed. Nobody in the family was strong enough to recount the bad news they had just received from Tunisia. The family is in a fix as they prepare for her funeral.
Enanga Kebbi’s iconic voice is well known in Cameroon’s audio visual landscape. She was one of the first stars at the then Cameroon Television (CTV) as continuity announcer. She later became the permanent correspondent to the First Lady of Cameroon, Mrs Chantal Biya. A duty she carried out with passion. She reported all activities that concerned the First Lady via associations such as the African Synergy for the Fight against AIDs and Suffering, the Chantal Biya Foundation, the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC), the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproductive Teaching Hospital (CHRACERH) and the Chantal Biya International Research Centre for the Prevention and Management of HIV (CIRCB).
Before her demise, she was the service head for social actions at the Division of Sovereign Actions at CRTV. Her duty among other things was to cover the social actions of the Presidency of the Republic for the radio and TV. The current Head of the Division of Sovereign Actions, Yves Marc Medjo says Enanga was an inspiration to everyone, devoted to the work she was called to perform and jovial to be with.
