1990 World Cup : In, Out Of Cameroon’s Glory

This is in a documentary titled « La fabuleuse odyssée des Lions indomptables du Cameroun au Mondial 90 » that was officially released on November 8, 2022 in Yaounde.

In less than two weeks, the Indomitable Lions will take the stage in Qatar to defend the colours of Cameroon in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. If there is one edition of the World Cup that they can look behind to tap motivation, it will definitely be that of 1990.
Due to the impact that Cameroon left in the World Cup defying all odds to qualify for the quarterfinals; a performance which no African country had achieved at that time; a group of individuals thought it wise to narrate the insides and untold stories of this expedition for team Cameroon. This is in a documentary titled, « La fabuleuse odyssée des Lions indomptables du Cameroun au Mondial 90 ». The film which was officially released in a projection on November 8, 2022 at the Yaounde Conference Centre is directed and produced by Jean Paul Tchomdou, founder of the In&Out audio-visual production house.
For some 1h 40 minutes, the crowd that responded present were glued to the screens thanks to smooth blend of the narrative, the testimonies, images and sounds. The arts took the spectators back; even those that were not yet born or those that were still small at that time; felt as if they lived the event thanks to the fact they were hearing the stories from the horses own mouths. Roger Milla, Thomas Nkono, François Omam Biyik, Joseph Antoine Bell, Eugène Ekeke, André Kana Biyik, Bertin Ebwelle, Jules Denis Onana, Emmanuel Maboang Kessack and many other actors. The Indomitable Lions Coach at that time Valéri Nepomniachi equally had so many interesting behind-the-scenes points to make in the movie.
