Switzerland : Keeping The Steam On

Participating at their 12th FIFA World Cup tournament and the fifth time in a row, Switzerland have gradually grown into their strides to become one of the top sides in Europe. The three-time quarter finalists come to Qatar with the intention of pushing the bar further and making it to at least the semi-finals. One of the first teams to arrive in Doha, the Swiss side feel at home and have taken in a couple of sessions to put their team in place. A defeat against Ghana last Thursday in Abu Dhabi seemed like a reality check to them but head coach Murat Yakin says it was more of a learning curve.
In Doha, the team has been very relaxed and even flung opened their doors to the media on Tuesday at their training base at the Doha University of Science and Technology. The Swiss side is a blend of talents with roots from other countries like captain Granit Xhaka or even Breel Embolo from Cameroon who is preparing to face his home nation. To Murat Yakin, Embolo feels no pressure and remains committed to the course as Switzerland look to start on a positive note.
