MTN Elite Two : FAP Prevails Over TKC

The day-10 game yesterday January 18, 2023 at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium ended 3-0 in favour of “Les Bidas”.

AS FAP of Yaounde now counts seven consecutive games undefeated. This was after their Day 10 3-nill win against Tonnerre Kalara Club (TKC) yesterday January 18, 2023 at the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium. Christian Landry Kemssu, Michel Assako and Jean Florent Batoum were on target for “Les Bidas”.
The victory was not a surprise as FAP came into the encounter as favourites counting 13 points after match day-nine as compared to the nine points for TKC. But it was not as easy as expected. In the first few minutes of the game, FAP began calling the shots but TKC reacted promptly in the same spirit, foiling the attempts of their opponents and creating their own opportunities.  Reason why as early as the fifth minute of play, TKC found the back of net to the surprise of many but the goal was denied due to an offside position. This did not play down on TKC’s morale but made them believe that they could overpower the favourites. In the quest for a goal, FAP made use of the lapses at the back yard to open scores. It was a strike from Landry Kemssu at the 17th minute of play. The game continued on fairly equal bases with FAP having more opportunities to double and finally got another breakthrough at the 30th minute through Michel Assako.  TKC did not give up, mounted pressure few minutes to the end of the first half and scored.
