Cheikh Diouf : Senegal’s Game Changer

Cheikh Diouf has written his name in the record books of the seventh edition of the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN 2022) in Algeria. The 20-year-old defender propelled his team to the summit through his talents. The Guediawaye FC forward was a focal point in his team's attack as Senegal beat the Democratic Republic of Congo 3-0 in their last group B game on January 23, 2023 in Annaba. His contribution to the success of the Teranga Lions A’ earned him the CAF Man of The Match Award. From all indications, Cheikh Diouf will continue with the same performance in the next round of the competition. 
Cheikh Diouf played 86 minutes of the game before he was substituted by Pape Thiaw. He was only replaced after he had cemented a quarterfinals spot for Senegal and having the next round in mind.
