Nguti : First-ever Fueling Station Goes Operational

For the first time since the creation of Nguti municipality in 1967, Nguti Town now has a fueling station. The fueling station under the management of Tradex was put into use on Friday January 27, 2023 by Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, Minister of Trade, in a ceremony that assembled all the 13 villages of Nguti Subdivision. The Nguti fueling station is the second in Kupe Muanunguba Division after that of Tombel. 
Built on a surface area of 2.585 m2, construction work started on October 31, 2016 by GEMAT Sarl. The project has been financed by the investment budget of the Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilisation Fund (HPSF) to the tune of FCFA 420,224,336. After the construction work was completed, the petrol station incurred some damage owing to the socio-political crisis in the region and was repaired for FCFA 55 236 817 bringing the total sum to FCFA 475 461 153. The station has a section hosting a shop, two offices, lubricant storage section, two blocks for sanitary facilities, a storage for domestic gas, borehole, four fuel pumps, car park, air comprisal and a generator of 110 kva capacity. 
Okie Johnson Ndoh, General Manager of HPSF, indicated that his institution in order to facilitate access of the population to petroleum product has committed itself in the construction of pilot petrol stations in localities that are neglected.
