Women NBA : Dulcy Fankam Drafted

Following the draft on April 10, 2023, the 23-year-old becomes the second Cameroonian player to join the league after Alvine Mendeng in 2008.

Cameroonian international women’s basketball player, Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu is becoming a national pride as she excels in the sports. The University of South Florida (USF) forward has been drafted in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) by Seattle Storm. This was during the second round WNBA annual draft which held on Monday April 10, 2023 in New York. She was picked 21st out of the 36 drafted players. According to information from the Cameroon Basketball Federation, the 23-year-old becomes the second Cameroonian to play in the WNBA after Alvine Mendeng in 2008 and the first to be drafted.
This recent achievement is no doubt thanks to the handwork and achievements she has amassed so far in the trade. It should be said that Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu was recently named Honorable Mention Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Americans. Fankam Mendjiadeu was also the most dominating player in the American Athletic Conference, and also one of the most dominating across the nation all season long.
