Désiré Kengne Fosso : The Golden Boy

The athlete from the University of Yaounde II was named King of the Games in Olympic Sports for winning three gold medals in athletics.

Désiré Kengne Fosso has written his name in the golden books of the University Games. The 22-year-old athlete from the University of Yaounde II was named King of the Games in Olympic sports in the just-ended University Games in Ngaoundere. This is thanks to the three gold medals he obtained in athletics. In the men’s shot put, discus throw and javelin; the athlete finished first, going beyond all his opponents.  When his name was sounded by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo in his closing remark, Kengne’s team mates expressed joy as they stood on their feet to appreciate the talent of one of theirs.
Being at just his first Games and producing such performance, shows that the athlete is not only good in the law he studies in the University of Yaounde II, but has potentials to shine the flag of Cameroon high both nationally and internationally in sports.
