Commonwealth Youth Games : Cameroonian Athletes In Trinidad And Tobago

Over 1000 athletes and para athletes are participating in seven sports disciplines managed by over 500 officials.

The seventh Commonwealth Youth Games are taking place on the Islands of Trinidad and Tobago from August 4 to 11, 2023. Over, 1000 athletes and para athletes between the ages of 14 to18 years are participating in seven sports disciplines managed by over 500 officials. Four athletes are representing Cameroon in the Games. They are Nguelo’o Noubissi Estelle Divine (100m freestyle swimming), Nguiche Tache Fotso Hugo Giovanni (men’s 100m free style swimming), Bilo’o Sandra Pauline Marquise(women’s 1500m), Bange Bange Elombo Anne Yedidya (women’s shot put), Nguelo’o Noubissi Estelle Divine (50m women’s freestyle swimming), Nguiche  Tache Fotso Hugo Giovanni (men’s 50m freestyle) and Bilo’o Sandra Pauline Marquise (women’s 800m). 
In the women’s 100m freestyle swimming semi-final on Monday August 7, 2023, Nguelo’o Noubissi Estelle Divine made a performance of 1’13”22 and did not qualify for the finals. In the men’s 100m freestyle swimming Nguiche Tache Fotso Hugo Giovanni made a performance of 1’2”90 and he did not qualify for the finals. In the women’s 1500m, Bilo’o Sandra Pauline Marquise finished eighth in her series with a performance of 4’51”80 and did not qualify for the final.
