Egypt-Uganda : Tough Task For The Lady Cranes

The two teams play the first quarterfinals match of the ongoing Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship today August 22 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.

Three-time winners of the Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship, Egypt play Uganda in the quarterfinals of the ongoing competition in Yaounde, Cameroon. The game is billed for today August 22, 2023 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex as from 12 noon. 
It is evidently going to be tough one for the Ugandan’s that are just at their second participation in this competition. The Lady Cranes only managed to reach the quarterfinals in this year’s edition after finishing fourth in a six-team group, guaranteeing a place in the knockout. This quarterfinals qualification, is Uganda’s biggest achievement at this competition having finished ninth back in 2007 (in Kenya) in their only other appearance at the Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship.
