Tchoukball : New Season Kicks Off

A total of 12 teams participated in the competition that took place in Douala recently.

 The 2024 season for Tchoukball opened at the Sawaland Bonamoussadi in Douala recently. Organised by the Cameroon Tchoukball Association, the competition brought together 12 teams (six men and six women) from across the country. It was another opportunity for the inhabitants of Douala to watch young Cameroonians display rich talents in the sport. 
In all, 12 matches were played using an adapted 2x15 minutes format. In view of the number of matches to be played, the normal duration is 3x15. The format decided by the Technical Committee indicated that the matches would be played non-stop between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. In the women’s final Vogt Tchoukball Club of Yaounde beat Walya Tchoukball Club from the Far North Region 49-39. In the men’s competition Vogt Tchouball Club of Yaounde outplayed Bonamoussadi Tchoukball Club of Douala 39-31. In the general classification Vogt Tchoukball Club men and Vogt Tchoukball Club women topped the charts.
