Ministry of Social Affairs : Women Commune With Children In Distress

They paid a solidarity visit to a home that cares for vulnerable children, yesterday March 5, 2024 in Yaounde.

As part of activities to mark the 39th International Women’s Day in Cameroon, women from the Ministry of Social Affairs paid a solidarity visit to children in distress, abandoned, orphanes and physically challenged in a care centre in Yaounde, yesterday, March 5, 2024. It was a day for the Minister of Social Affairs, Pauline Irene Nguene and her collaborators to reinforce love and affection to the vulnerable children who are under their care. The children received special gifts from their august guests.
Before the solidarity outreach, the women participated in a round table discussion chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry, Panje Beryl Itoh. The round table discussion focused on edifying women on certain notions linked to gender equality. The women were made to understand that gender equality is about men and women coming together to establish a society in which everybody will have equal rights and access to basic necessities.
