Civilian March Past : Rehearsals On Course Nationwide

Various public and private institutions of learning selected to take part in the May 20 march past have already begun practicing their steps.

Preparations are already on course across the national territory prior to the commemoration of the 52nd edition of the National Day on May 20, 2024. This year’s celebration is under the theme; "Army and Nation: Together for a United, Peaceful and Prosperous Cameroon." March past activities in Yaounde, just like in the other towns of Cameroon, will be characterised by military parade (foot and motorised soldiers) and civilians. In order to give the celebration the effervescence it deserves, practice is essential. To that effect civilians, just like the military, are on rehearsals. In fact, march past trials are on course within the different educational establishments that have been selected to take part in the activities. They are being coordinated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education and the rehearsals began on May 2, 2024. 
The first modular of repetition that consist of students from the basic and secondary education (both technical and general education institutions), normal education, non-formal education and vocational training already started in Yaounde and the students are perfecting their steps. 
Pupils and students of Mfoundi Division who are eager to display patriotism to the Fatherland are taking the rehearsals very serious. A total of 14 schools from the seven Subdivisions of the Division, under the guide of about 28 supervisors will be participating at the traditional march past at the May 20 boulevard.
