Doing Business In Cameroon : Indian Businessmen Present Prospects

Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute, on September 20, 2024 received a delegation of fifteen businessmen to explore investment opportunities.


Indian businessmen, specialised in sectors like, energy, mining, pharmaceutical healthcare, educational skills, vocational training, transport and infrastructure are in Cameroon on a working visit within the context of exploring business ventures in the country. Headed by Ajay Jain and led to the Star Building by the Indian High Commissioner to Cameroon, Vijay Khanduja, they were received by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on September 20, 2024. The working mission of the Indian investors to Cameroon is to confirm the business potentials presented to them by the Investment Promotion Agency during the last India-Africa Business Conclave that held in New Delhi in August 2024. Meanwhile, they were also accompanied by the Acting Director-General of the aforementioned institution, Boma Donatus.
The team leader of the investors told the Prime Minister that they are interested in investing in a multiple of growing sectors in Cameroon. “We understand that Cameroon and India are having good relations since 1960 and there is good bilateral trade with almost 1.2 billion dollars and above between two countries.
