Cameroon Handball Federation: National Championship Begins March

The 2025 handball championship will kick off on March 2, 2025 in the country. This is one of the major resolutions taken during an Ordinary Board of Directors meeting of the Cameroon Handball Federation (FECAHAND) that took place in Yaounde on Sunday, February 23, 2025. The meeting was presided over by the President of FECAHAND, Abba Oumate. The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate FECAHAND’s strategic plan and set the milestones for the new sports season. During the deliberations the members adopted the report of activities for 2024 as well as the financial report of the 2024.The board accorded an extra delay for members of the executive bureau of the federation and the board of administrators to fulfil their obligations and contributions without which they will be suspended. Also, the board athourised the implementation plan for the reconstruction plan of handball as proposed by the executive bureau, athourised the executive bureau to restructure the national teams in all categories to make them more performant, adopt the format proposed by the executive bureau notably a regional phase and a playoffs phase.
