South Region : Population Benefits From CERAC’s Largesse

The charitable association of the First Lady offered diverse gifts to rural women, schools and health centres in the Mvila Division, yesterday March 6, 2025.
Inhabitants of Biwong Bulu Subdivision in the Mvila Division of the South Region are in a festive mood. The charitable association of the First Lady of Cameroon, the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC), was in the locality with plenty of gifts for the population on March 6, 2025. This was during a ceremony to officially handover the Biwong Bulu District Medical Centre renovated and equipped by CERAC. Representing the First Lady at the ceremony was Mrs Nguene Kendeck Pauline Irene, Minister of Social Affairs and Vice President of the College of Counsellors of CERAC. Pauline Irene Nguene did not just hand a rehabilitated building with innovative equipment, but also had special donations of agricultural tools to women as well as youths after an educational talk with them at the Government Classical High School Biwong Bulu.
Indeed, Thursday, March 6, 2025 was special in the locality of Biwong Bulu. Instead of going to their various farms or business spots, the rural women moved toward the esplanade of the Government Classical High School. So too were students from the Government High School, Nselang, the Government College of Mang Mi Yeminsem and Esavom as well as the Government Technical School of Mvoula and the vocational training centres of Biwong Bulu. Health personnel and the forces of law and order also took same direction. The population had special guests in town: CERAC ladies, with gifts for everybody. The CERAC delegation began the day as early as 10:00 a.m. with an educative talk with all the students. CERAC ladies had an interactive time with the youth on the good use of the social media as well as the importance of avoiding drugs. They were assisted by experts from the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies dubbed ANTIC.
Thereafter, the delegation went on to handover agricultural tools and farm inputs to some 35 women’s association. Six schools in the Division also received diverse didactic materials as well as cleaning equipment and medications. The Biwong Bulu District Medical Centre received a special attention from CERAC. The hospital was not only renovated but fully equipped with pharmaceutical products, modern medical equipment and furniture. The Founding President of CERAC, Mrs Chantal Biya also sent special gifts to the population. She offered an electrical generator to the health centre, special digital kits to the Government Classical High School Biwong Bulu as well as two motor bikes destined for the gendarmerie unit and the Regional Delegate of Secondary Education. This is to ensure that everybody carries out their duties effectively.
