MTN Elite One : Colombe Outplays Coton Sport

Colombe of Dja and Lobo have once more proven their dominance in the MTN Elite One championship. The club from the South Region outplayed Coton Sport of Garoua, 2-0 in a day 16 encounter that took place at the Yaounde Military Stadium yesterday March 26, 2025. Supporters from the Centre and South regions thronged the stadium to watch the match. It was a difficult encounter that kept spectators spellbound throughout the encounter. 
Colombe began by dominating the game from the start, but they lost most of their scoring chances. Coton Sport, on their part fought back bravely, but they squandered their opportunities. No side was able to find the back of the net during the first half. Half time score was 0-0. On resumption Colombe of Dja and Lobo came up much stronger and full of tactics. Their tactics paid off as Rodrique Onana opened scores at the 55th minute. That served as a booster for the players of Colombe of Dja and Lobo who were determined to grab the three points of the day. Colombe continued with the attack putting much pressure upfront causing Luc Bide to net in the second goal at the 64th minute. 
Coton Sport equally retaliated with a fierce attack and made several attempts at goal, but their shots were off target. They also faced the vigilant defence of Colombe of Dja and Lobo. Replacements made by the coach of Colombe, Richard Towa added more vigour to the team. All efforts made by Coton Sport to reduce scores were useless. Colombe of Dja and Lobo carried the day beating Coton Sport of Garoua 2-0....
