Forest-Wood Inter-Professional Association : New Bureau Pledges Better Communication, Inclusion

The elections took place during the organization’s ordinary and extra ordinary general assemblies in Yaounde from April 17-18, 2025.

In a landmark two-day General Assembly held in Yaounde from April 17 to 18, the Forest-Wood Inter-Professional Association (IFFB) gathered for both its ordinary and extraordinary sessions under the theme “IFFB and the Law on Inter-profession: How to Redefine It?” The assembly marked a turning point for the association as members reviewed and updated their internal rules and regulations, paving the way for improved governance and sector-wide collaboration. A major highlight of the sessions was the election of a new bureau to replace officials who had served for the past seven years.
Six key positions were filled: a president, vice-president, secretary general and assistant, treasurer, and accountant. The newly elected president, Roger Onana Bienvenu Mebenga, who also served as the outgoing vice-president, emphasized the importance of continuity and legal compliance.
