Agricultural Productivity: New Logistics To Boost Output

In a bid to enhance agricultural productivity and bolster food security, an association which bids for sustainable agriculture through the responsible use of crop protection products known as CropLife Cameroon has donated ten motorcycles and a pickup truck to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The symbolic handover ceremony was chaired by Minister Gabriel Mbairobe in Yaounde on April 23,2025. The donation aims to address the mobility challenges faced by phytosanitary control officers who operate on the field. The new logistics will enable them to effectively monitor and regulate pesticide usage, ensure compliance with safety standards, and curb the spread of contraband agricultural products. “This initiative is rooted in our long-standing collaboration, dating back to the implementation of the phytosanitary protection law and years of partnership in combating food insecurity and promoting good agricultural practices,” Minister Mbairobe stated during his speech at the ceremony. To ensure proper usage of these logistics, and continuity of these protection acts, CropLife Cameroon plans to finance future training workshops for field personnel and agricultural stakeholders.
