Nnah Faith Tabi epouse Um held a press briefing in Yaounde on April 24, 2025. In prelude to the launch of her new book on worship “Unveiling The Heart Of True Worship,” on April 27, 2025.
“God is spirit, and his worshippers must worship in the spirit and truth,” the Bible teaches in John 4:24. Here, Jesus speaks about the true nature of worship. Emphasizing that true worship is not limited to specific locations or rituals, but rather requires genuine, heartfelt connection with God. Guided by truth and understanding. And above all, led by the Holy Spirit.
Unveiling The New Book
This is what Mrs. Um nee Nnah Faith Tabi has tried to explain in her new book, “Unveiling The Heart Of True Worship.” Published this year, the book will be launched in Yaounde on Sunday, April 27, 2025. In prelude to the event, Faith Tabi, also known by her denominational title, Psalmist, organized a press conference in Yaounde on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Be Born Again!
“Any young person who wishes to become a worship a minister must first become a born again Christian, have an identity in Jesus Christ. Then look for a mentor or coach to whom they must submit. They should avoid copying others because they will fail,” the Psalmist told journalists. “People must first love God before doing good worship. Of course, training is also an indispensable part of true worship,” she went on.
Righting The “Wrongs”
A worship minister for many years in several denominations, Psalmist Faith Um is already a writer. “Unveiling The Heart Of True Worship” is her second publication. “I realized that some worship services were not properly conducted. I then decided to write the book so that worship leaders could do worship biblically… The book is meant for pastors, worship leaders and all Christians.
Returning True Worship To Church
“Unveiling The Heart Of True Worship” insists on practical praise and worship, backed by spiritual armour. The main objective of the book is to raise awareness on the training of worship/praise leaders and choir members. “We want to see biblical worship come back to the church… Worship ministers must be disciplined to sit down and read my book,” Faith counselled.
According To Biblical Standards
According to her, Biblical worship is addressed to the Father. “We must minister to Him and remain at His feet. Praise and worship are the most important part of church service, but they are often neglected. Biblical worship helps worshippers to forget their present earthly challenges and for some time focus on God. It places the worship minister as a priest and connector between other worshippers and God… This takes people from their problems to solutions,” Mrs. Um went on.
