NASLA : Need To Integrate Digital Technology Underscored

The Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development was speaking in Buea on Monday May 26, 2025 during the conference of the second batch of the National School of Local Administration (NASLA).

Students of the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) have been enjoined to adopt modernization and digital transformation. Minister Georges Elanga Obam was speaking in Buea on May 26, during the conference of the second batch of NASLA trainees. The Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development, who is the tutelage technical supervisor of NASLA, underscored the importance of integrating digital technologies into local administration and highlighted that equipping future leaders with modern tools and skills is crucial for effective local governance and service delivery in Cameroon. 
The visit of the Minister of Decentralisation and Local Development to NASLA was therefore to promote modernization and digital transformation among trainees and local governance structures. Placed on the theme “Modernization of Regional and Local Authorities through Digital Transformation: What Skills to Build Efficient and Sustainable Decentralised Institutions,” the conference enabled Minister Elanga Obam to explain the significant move towards enhancing the capabilities of Regional and Local Authorities to the current students. “If we don’t digitalize, we are not going to improve the level of competence of our local authorities.
