Minister Felix Mbayu on June 13, 2025 had a working session with a delegation of persons on the project “Regional Cooperation on Migratory Policies,” led by Bamadi Sanakho.
The Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu on June 13, 2025 received a delegation of officials on the project “Regional Cooperation in Migratory Policies,” led by Bamadi Sanakho. The over one hour working session at the Ministry of External Relations which came on the sidelines of the second edition of the Regional Workshop for West and Central African Countries on Migratory Policies that held on June 11, 2025 in Yaounde and brought together representatives from Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Guinea, Comoros and Senegal.
The Project Head, Bamadi Sanakho told the press after the audience that to was an opportunity to discuss with the Minister and understand the different mechanism put in place by Cameroon to encourage and facilitate diaspora engagement in national development. Based in Côte D’Ivoire, he noted that the Minister reiterated the need to collaborate at the inter-continental and regional levels to find various solutions at ensuring that countries work at promoting diaspora engagement in national and community growth. “We are grateful for the working session with the Minister and it was an opportunity to highlight the hospitality and fraternity of Cameroon. We talked at length on projects such as research and how it can bring meaningful data and guidance to diaspora contribution in investing in their home countries,” Bamadi Sanakho stated.
