Egypt : National Day Celebrated In Fanfare

Relations between Cameroon and Egypt are on a good footing. The revelation was made on July 15, 2025 by the Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Dalia Fayez Farag Ghubrial during celebrations marking the 73rd National Day of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Yaounde. Flanked by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, members of government and of the diplomatic corps, Ambassador Dalia Fayez Farag Ghubrial said, “When I arrived in Cameroon in March 2022, relations between Egypt and Cameroon were at a standstill since 2013 with only exchanges of letters of greetings between the two Presidents during the national holidays...I asked the officials of Cameroon that we should work together so that the level of relationship reflects the value of the two countries at the regional and global level...”. She added that because, “From July 2022, we worked very hard and signed agreements, discussed projects, exchanged visits of senior officials, held political consultations and joint commissions, exchanges of support for regional and international organization…”, bilateral relations between two countries are on the right track.
