External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella signed the condolence book at the Nigerian High Commission on July 18, 2025.
Following the death of former Nigerian President, Mohammadu Bihari in London on July 13, 2025, the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella paid a condolence visit to the Nigerian High Commission on July 18, 2025 and signed the condolence book. His visit came after a condolence message the Head of State, President Paul Biya had written to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saluting the legacy of the departed Statesman.
At the courtyard of the High Commission, the Nigerian flag flew at half-mast and the quietness of the premises was communicative enough of the grief. A space within the building has been reserved for the condolence book. On the table, at the centre, is the portrait of the Statesman who served Nigeria as President from 2015 to 2023. With respects, the Minister bowed before the picture before signing the book, after penning down a message. In the message, Minister Mbella Mbella states that President Buhari was a great Statesman and a true Pan-Africanist who fought tirelessly to complete African integration and also fought for peace and security in the continent. “He was a true friend of His Excellency President Paul Biya and in collaboration, both carried on a sustained fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.
