His election on Friday marks the relaunch of the association’s activities, paving the way for actors in the oil sector to support and stimulate the development of the national gas industry from extraction to distribution.
The Executive General Manager of the Cameroon Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), Adolphe Moudiki, has been re-elected Chairman of the Cameroon Gas Association (CGA), whose mission is to support and stimulate the development of the national gas industry from extraction to distribution.
He was elected during a general assembly meeting of CGA that held in Yaounde on Friday. The objective of the general assembly was to revive its activities, which have been dormant since about 16 years ago.
The new Chairman will be assisted by Okie Johnson Ndoh, Director General of the National Hydrocarbons Prices Stabilisation Fund as First Vice-Chairman, among five other executive members.
Established nearly 20 years ago, CGA comprises the National Hydrocarbon Prices Stabilisation Fund (CSPH), Cameroon Petroleum Depot Company (SCDP), National Refining Company (SONARA), Cameroon Hydrocarbons Corporation (SNH), Tradex, Addax, Perenco, Hydrac, etc.
“It has been almost 20 years since the association was founded. “In a global context marked by major energy and environmental challenges, it is imperative to combine our efforts, better define national issues, and adopt appropriate strategies to strengthen the role of the CGA with public authorities, with the aim of fostering the development of the gas industry and, consequently, the development of our country. We have the skills to meet this challenge,” Nathalie Moudiki, Head of Legal Division, who chaired the general assembly meeting on behalf of the Executive Managing Director of SNH, underscored.
Four permanent committees to unite the efforts of public and private stakeholders, stimulate innovation, and strengthen the role of gas in Cameroon’s economy, among others, w...
