Cameroon-Equatorial Guinea: Common Strategies

Diplomatic relations and the general state of cooperation between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea are friendly with several joint achievements to attest to that. They are bond by the principle of mutual respect and a win-win partnership for the wellbeing of their people. The two countries share a common border and this implies brainstorming on common strategies to surmount these challenges at the bilateral level especially on border security. On a global note however, both nations, as seen through various policies, exchange notes and cooperate on projects that foster mutual economic growth and regional integration. Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea are two brotherly countries whose personalities meet on a regular basis to share views on further intensifying cooperation ties. It is within this framework of strengthening bilateral relations that the President of the Republic, Paul Biya on November 19, 2025 received in audience the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea in charge of Defence and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, on an official visit in Cameroon. The two personalities held in-depth talks on advancing already existing ties for the development of their countries, amidst contemporary shocks and natural blows powered by the effects of climate change. The two countries which belong to the same regional economic blocs like Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) and the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC), collaborate on several development projects.
