INCUB’EXPO 2026: Over 100 Exhibitors Converge On Sangmelima This Week

The first edition of the agribusiness fair opens in the headquarters of Dja-et-Lobo Division in the South Region this Monday, April 6, 2026 and runs till April 12, 2026.

The dawn of April 6, 2026, marks more than just a new week for the town Sangmelima in Dja-et-Lobo Division in the South Region; it signals the birth of a new economic era. As the mist clears over the Municipal Lake, the site will be transformed into a bustling "economic hive." The inaugural INCUB’EXPO 2026, a flagship initiative of the Pulpa Oil incubator, will be launched this day, positioning the division as the epicenter of Cameroon’s burgeoning agribusiness sector.

Strategic Vision For The Terroir
The theme of this first edition, "Investing in One’s Homeland," is not merely a slogan but a call to action. Under the leadership of Elissar Mbang Ekoutou, a prominent figure in the agro-industrial landscape and head of Pulpa Oil, the fair seeks to bridge the gap between traditional farming and modern industrial processing. For decades, the challenge for local producers has been the "missing middle" - the inability to transform raw harvests into high-value finished products. INCUB’EXPO 2026 aims to bridge that gap.
"We are here to prove that our soil holds more than just crops; it holds our future economic sovereignty," said a representative from the organizing committee. By focusing on youth empowerment and the professionalization of small-scale producers, the event addresses the urgent need for domestic self-sufficiency.

Government Backing, PIISAH Framework
The institutional weight behind the event highlights its national importance. The opening ceremony will be a high-stakes diplomatic and economic affair, expected to be presided by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mbaïrobe. The Minister’s presence, flanked by the Ministers of Finance and Commerce, underscores the government’s commitment to the Integrated Import-Substitution Plan (PIISAH).
Minister Mbaïrobe is expected to emphasize that the 2026 fiscal year is a pivotal one for Cameroon. With new mechanisms for supporting agropastoral SMEs, the government is looking for credible partners like Pulpa Oil to act as intermediaries for development. The fair serves as a physical manifestation of these policies, moving from theoretical documents in Yaoundé to practical implementation on the shores of Sangmelima’s lake.

Marketplace Of Knowledge, Capital
What separates INCUB’EXPO from a standard trade fair is its focus on "Business-to-Government" (B2G) and "Business-to-Business" (B2B) networking. The site has been partitioned into "economic cells," designed to facilitate intimate and productive dialogue.
Throughout the week, “porteurs de projets” (project leads) will access direct financing windows. For the first time, local entrepreneurs will meet directly with lenders and microfinance institutions to discuss the specific 2026 credit lines available for agricultural transformation. Experts from the standards and quality agencies are on-site to teach young entrepreneurs how to make their products "market-ready" for both local supermarkets and interna...
