These are the various measures adopted in the face of management faults within the framework of ensuring transparency.
Management faults in public administration is an aspect that has a direct impact on the development of the community. Within the context of ensuring the apt use of public funds for the wellbeing of the population, several procedures have been put in place by government as corrective measures to prevent further damages. To this effect, a systematic approach, consisting of identifying the root causes, implementing immediate action to contain the situation and avert recurrence is being adopted by competent authorities. This explains why the Supreme State Audit Office constantly organises trainings on the management of public funds as a means of enhancing leadership development. This regular mandatory management training or refresher courses are geared at strengthening clear accountability metrics in administration. During a recent training from June 10-12, 2026 in Bamenda, North West Region, the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of the Supreme State Audit Office, Mbah Acha Rose said statistics indicate that some of the mismanagement faults were acts of ignorance of the law, some out of negligence and others were just acts of disobedience. In her words, the training is intended to correct such wrong doings that have a downward tool on public wealth and human capital. The Audit Bench of the Supreme Court and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) are other institutions that are involved in the capacity building of officials on mismanagement faults and its damages to the State. In addition to the training are sanctions meted on those found guilty.
