Biaka University Institute: New Vice Chancellor Commits To Digital Transformation

Dr Mary Lum Che Feh who was commissioned into her new functions on June 26, unveiled the new vision of the institution.

With the evolving landscape of higher education driven by technological advancement, globalization and change in societal needs, the Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) is committed to digital transformation for the institution to not only adapt but lead in the new dispensation. Dr Mary Lum Che Feh, unveiled the new vision of the higher institution of learning in her acceptance speech as the new Vice Chancellor. According to her, BUIB’s new vision is anchored on five key pillars; academic excellence where teaching, learning and research meet international standards, innovation and forward thinking by embracing digital transformation, and inclusive and learners centred education, amongst others. To achieve these, she added, the university will prioritize strengthening research capacity, enhance the quality of teaching, improve infrastructure and continuous quality improvement. The new VC pledged to serve with integrity, transparency and unwavering dedication to excellence while stressing on team work and collaboration with both staff and students.
