N atural disasters and armed conflicts are basically the two factors that trigger hu­ manitarian assistance in a country, Cameroon inclusive. The Ministry of Territorial Administration super­ vises national relief distribution, government-led humanitarian plans, and coordinates aid logistics with administrative authorities and part­ ner institutions like specialised agencies of the United Nations. Objectives of such initiatives are to safe lives, protect vulnerable po­ pulations, and deliver multi-sectoral aid to people affected by conflict, forced displacement, and climate shocks. In Cameroon, the most vulnerable areas which constantly require hu­ manitarian assistance are concen­ trated across six regions and they include the Far North, North West, South West, North, Adamawa, and East Regions. These locations face severe challenges from armed conflict, climate shocks, and refugee influxes. The Far North Region, for example, is affected by security challenges caused by Boko Haram insurgencies since 2013, just like the case of the two English-spea­ king regions (North West and South West) with the socio-political ten­ sions of close to a decade now.
