Limbe Modern Tourism Village: Gov’t Gives Greenlight For Construction

In his capacity as Chairperson of the National Tourism Board, Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute chaired an extraordinary session that held yesterday April 7, 2026 and dedicated to the validation of a proposed public-private partnership with Enrich Resort City. Various members of government, beginning with the Prime Minister gave their opinion on the project said to ultramodern and targets attracting over three million foreign tourists and six million national tourists per annum to the site. It is championed by the Chief Executive Officer of Enrich Network Corp (Canada), Dr Sammy Tita Fombang, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure as well as other Ministries and stakeholders. Project Overview Code named Enrich Resort City, it is envisioned as a modern tourism and lifestyle destination, integrating hospitality infrastructure, residential spaces, recreational facilities, maritime tourism, renewable energy systems and digital infrastructure. It is planned on approximately 125 acres of titled land estimated to cost about FCFA 500 billion. The project promoter, Dr Sammy Tita Fombang, said the Limbe location, Fako Division, South West Region is strategic with its beautiful coastline of rare black volcanic beaches. An implementation timeframe of seven years is projected from the starting phase, once the government completes preliminary works such as the provision of access roads to the site. Four hotels are envisaged to be constructed, two of a five-star category, one four-star and one three-star. The implementation roadmap targets three phases.
