October 12 Presidential Election : PM Galvanises CPDM Officials In SW

The Head of Government Joseup Dion Ngute held consultative meetings with officials of the ruling party and political elite of Meme and Fako Divisions on July 26, 2025 in Buea.

In what the Prime Minister described as “fireside meetings,” Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute has met with his kin and kindred of his native South West Region to galvanize CPDM political elite, officials of the Central Committee Divisional Permanent Delegations, Section executives in the two Divisions as well as some youth of the South West Region. The separate meetings that held behind closed-doors at the historic Buea Mountain Hotel on a chilly Saturday July 26 provided the opportunity for Prime Minister Dion Ngute to size-up preparations of the party officials in the South West Region with particular focus on the two very volatile administrative units of the region. The separate consultative meetings by the Prime Minister also aimed at scaling-up the level of mobilization of the grassroots population by the CPDM party officials.
The Prime Minister’s consultative talks with CPDM delegations from Meme and Fako divisions focused on issues concerning the rate of registration of CPDM supporters on the electoral list, and the withdrawal of voters’ cards as well as the strategies put in place to spur voters for a massive participation in the upcoming presidential poll. The PM is also said to have reminded the various delegations of the stakes of the presidential election and the paramount importance of giving the CPDM candidate, President Paul Biya a resounding victory in the South West Region. Prime Minister Dion Ngute, Cameroon Tribune learnt, was also very articulate on the need for CPDM party stalwarts in the region to sink their differences in a bid to present a common front for the overwhelming victory of the CPDM candidate.
