Agricultural Development : Scaling-up Investments Discussed

This was during an audience the Prime Minister Head of Government granted to the Resident Representative of the International Fund for Agricultural Development on October 24, 2025.

The state of cooperation between Cameroon and the International Fund for Agricultural Development as well as the possibilities of scaling-up investments in the agricultural sector have been discussed at the Star Building. This was during an audience the Prime Minister granted the Resident Representative and Country Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Eric Rwabidadi on October 24, 2025.
The senior UN official who is equally Head of IFAD’s Multi-Country Office for Central Africa, told the press that they explored the different potentials in Cameroon as concerns commercialisation of agriculture and working together to co-create investments. “We discussed the state of cooperation between IFAD and Cameroon, which is excellent. We also discussed how we can scale-up investments which we are having together in terms of youth entrepreneurship development and equally value chain development targeting women, youth and having a second-generation type of agriculture in Cameroon,” Eric Rwabidadi stated.
Cameroon and the International Fund for Agricultural Development, it should be noted, cooperate through a partnership focused on rural transformation, with a portfolio of over 200 million US dollars to support smallholder farmers, youth, and women.
