Bamenda: Muslims Pray For Peace, Blessings

The prayers that kick started celebrations of the Feast of the Ram were held in Bamenda in the presence of the representative of State, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique.

The Muslim community in the North West Regional capital, Bamenda, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 on the occasion of the Feast of the Ram (Feast of Tabaski) called on Allah Almighty to bless Cameroon and shower peace in the entire nation. This was during prayers in their prayer ground that is currently undergoing construction works. Present during the prayers and slaughtering of the ram was the representative of State, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique among other regional dignitaries. The Grand Imam of the Bamenda Central Mosque, Imam Musa Shuabo in his preaching called on Allah to make their days to be those of salvation, homes be those of blessings and mercies, years to be those of joy and happiness, grant their needs, and shower on Muslims, the entire community and nation at large blessings, love, peace and prosperity. His preaching focused on sacrifice which is a command from Allah. “It is compulsory. We must do it because Abraham obeyed Allah’s command to sacrifice his son Ismael.
