Centre: Government High School, Nkolnda Holds Inaugural Excellence Day

Nkolnda (Mefou and Afamba) - On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Government High School, GHS Nkolnda hosted its historic, inaugural Excellence Day. Rewarding academic brilliance and hard work for the first time since its founding in 2000. The school is located in Mfou Subdivision, Mefou and Afamba Division of the Centre Region. The 4 million FCFA event was driven by a powerful synergy between Parent Teacher Association, PTA President, Mr. Belinga Bruno André, the School Board Chairperson, Mrs. Bandolo Alima Annique, and the Principal, Mrs. Ebode Ngo Bayika Eléonore Suzanne. A total of 175 top-performing students (5 per class across 35 classrooms) and 20 teachers received cash and in-kind prizes. Standout achievers included a Form 1 student with a 17/20 average, a Lower Sixth science student with a near-17 average, and an Upper Sixth (Terminale C) girl who scored an impressive 16- plus average in the hard sciences.
