Bafoussam City Council: Institution Holds Midterm Session

An ordinary session of the Bafoussam City Council, aimed at examining the midterm income and expenditure for 2026 fiscal year and to present plan measures for the 2027 budgetary fra­ meworks held in Bafoussam on 28 Au­ gust 2026. Addressing the Councillors during the session, Mayor Tafam Roger, underscored the aim of the session, which he said was mainly geared towards exchange of ideas, seeking solutions to challenges faced in the midterm budget execution, and to make prospects for the budgetary planning for 2027 fiscal year. He said the council executive must make policies to enhance the process of development, as the City Council remains a vanguard to foster development for its popula­ tion. The elected official noted that budget execution must be backed up by sustai­ ned national interest and positive contri­ bution to development. He expressed satisfaction over the smooth passage of the 2026 midterm budget manage­ ment and thanked those workers of the City Council who worked resolutely and devotedly to improve on output.
