South West: School Supplies, Financial Support For BONAVADA Kids

Buea (Fako) - The Upper Bokova Com­ munity Hall was jammed to capacity as hundreds of people including pupils and students as well as their parents thron­ ged the venue on Saturday August 29, 2026, to receive school supplies and financial assistance ahead of the 2026- 2027 academic year. The young learners drawn from nursery, primary, secondary and university schools, were handed school bags, exercise books, pens, pencils and other didactics as well as financial support to ease the burden of back-to- school on parents and guardians. The largesse worth over FCFA 9 million was the initiative of the traditional ruler of Upper Bokova village, HRM Barrister Abel Evanjoh Nyoki. The move, he stated, is not only to ease the financial burden of parents during this back-to-school period but also to facilitate access to education for all in the BONAVADA Com­ munity that comprises of 13 villages. According to the traditional ruler of Up­ per Bokova, the children of the BONA­ VADA community are now fully equipped for the 2026-2027 school year with didactic materials and financial support. “Now the ball is in their court for them to prove to us that the sacrifices which we have all made to ensure that they have a befitting back to school is worth the salt,” he opined.
