Limbe Council Inter-Quarter Football Tournament: Caterpillar Field FC, Best Stars Champions

Over 3,000 football enthusiasts from various ethnic backgrounds resident in Limbe turned out at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday, 6 September 2026, to witness the closing cere­ mony of the Limbe Council Inter-Quarter Football Tournament (Fresh Edition V). Among the fans were the Senior Divisional Officer of Fako, Viang Mekalla; the Divisional Officers of Limbe I, II and III; and municipal and traditional authorities, who joined the City Mayor, Dr. Paul Efome Li­ sombe Mbole Ngale, to celebrate not only the country’s unity in diversity but also to promote peaceful coexistence and social cohesion. In his speech, the City Mayor of Limbe highlighted that this year’s tournament theme, “Football for our Cultural Diversity; One Game Together,” captured the esteemed valorisation of the over 250 tribes of Cameroon that are happily present in Limbe.
