Presidential Reconstruction Plan : Beneficiary Mayors, Religious Authorities Express Gratitude

Projects carried out within the framework of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions have continued to create positive impacts in beneficiary communities in the North West Region and hence have caused the populations to express satisfaction and gratitude to government. The glaring case concern the already completed, ongoing and soon to start projects in 24 out of the 34 Subdivisions that make up the North West Region funded by the Islamic Development Bank that started in November 2023.  Mayors from beneficiary Councils and representatives of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bamenda, Kumbo Diocese, Cameroon Baptist Convention, Full Gospel Mission and the Islamic Community on January 28, 2025 in Bamenda expressed satisfaction and gratitude to government as well as requested for execution of more projects. This was during the midterm evaluation meeting at the Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development.
The National Coordinator of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions, Motuba Tamajong Obase presided at the meeting in the presence of the Inspector General at the North West Governor’s Office who represented the Governor.  The Regional Coordinator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the North West Region who is the implementing partner of the Presidential Plan presented the projects carried out per municipality.  The projects concern the rehabilitation of schools further equipped with solar electricity and solar power-boreholes, support for revitalisation of socio-economic activities through the ...
