Chantal Biya Research Centre: Board Members Satisfied With Work Done

The Chairman of the Management Committee of the Chantal Biya International Reference Centre for HIV/AIDS Management and Research Jean Stephane Biatcha has lauded the work of the administration of the structure despite limited resources. This was during the 14th session of the Board of Directors meeting of the institution yesterday June 12, 2025 in Yaounde. The session was mostly dedicated to the 2024 financial review of the research centre. Speaking to the press, the Director General of the Chantal Biya International Reference Centre for HIV/AIDS Management and Research dubbed CIRCB in the French Language, Professor Alexis Ndjolo, said the session was about reviewing all the accounts of the institution, not taking into consideration its scientific aspects. During the session the General Manager of CIRCB presented the 2024 administrative account of the Centre. There was also a presentation of the inventory management account, the management account as well as the budget execution report. After the presentation Jean Stephane Biatcha and the board appreciated the financial management of the administration. It was revealed that the management of CIRCB optimised resource utilisation despite limited funds. Professor Alexis Ndjolo appreciated the support of partners such as the Italian government, the World Health Organisation (W.H.O) among others. Thanks to them, the Centre has been able to carry out most of it projects. The Board of Directors requested and even passed a resolution, asking that projects funded by external financing be managed in accordance with donor’s requirements.
