Official Visit Of Equato-Guinean Statesman: Cameroon’s Hospitality Appreciated

Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue left Cameroon via the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport yesterday November 19, 2025 with very positive memories of the country.

The departure of the Vice President of Equatorial Guinea in charge of Defence and State Security, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, from Cameroon after his official visit, just like his arrival, was memorable. The warmth expressed by both Cameroonians and nationals of Equatorial Guinea who showed up to bid farewell to the august guest at the airport was telling. The Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, was on hand to accompany the Statesman to the foot of the special airplane (Gulfstream 650). Equally present to say goodbye to the visiting official was the Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Cameroon, Armando Kote Echuaca, who also doubles as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Cameroon. He led the delegation of his compatriots residing in Cameroon to the airport for the occasion.

As per the sequential unfolding of events, Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute got to the airport before the Vice President and welcomed him as he alighted from the vehicle at the entrance to the airport terminal. There was an excited crowd, comprising the Equato-Guinean community residing in Cameroon. They waved their country’s flag and sang songs which presented compliments to the visiting Vice President. They also held in hand some warm messages to the person of Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue. After greeting the Prime Minister, he turned to the crowd and waved at them, in all smiles. He spent a few minutes communing with them. He was then led to the VIP lounge by Joseph Dion Ngute, where they briefly exchanged some pleasantries.

As he stepped out of the VIP lounge for the aircraft, he stopped and greeted the officials who were lined-up at the of the terminal to give their leader a benefitting goodbye from Cameroon.
